Graduation

After completing all FLSOM courses, those students who have earned a minimum of 15 units of credit and whose financial accounts are satisfactory will receive a DIPLOMA IN MINISTERIAL TRAINING.

FLSOM is not an ordaining organization. Ordination or licensing is done by your local church or denomination.

FLSOM education is based on the Christian philosophy in contrast to humanistic, progressive systems of education. Christian education is rooted in objective reality and absolutes, as opposed to relativism.

Our philosophy provides students the programs and methods of studies which impart Christian character development, communicative skills, and subject matter in harmony with the inspired Word of God, which is “profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works” (2 Timothy 3:16–17).

It is for this reason at this time we will not pursue accreditation, as most accrediting organizations do not reflect the vision or doctrine of FLSOM, or do not offer substantial reasons to do so, outside of transferrable credits. That is why we chose to call ourselves a “School of Ministry”; our primary focus being to raise up ministers in the local church, according to Ephesians 4:12 “For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:”

There is a possibility that we may pursue accreditation in the future as the need arises. Until then, the quality of Christian education and training you will receive at FLSOM will be with utmost excellence; that will always be at the core of who we are as a school.
